As the subject asks, which coating is used for current la griffes?

I know before they had a flatter, thinner coat (oxide something I believe?) and then they switched over to the crinkle coating that's thicker and can flake off real easily.

What are they using now?

I bought one from Knifecenter and another from New Graham over this summer, and both were the crinkle coat, so presumably that is the current one...

OK, thanks. Did you get a simple rectangular sheath of a piece of kydex folded over, or a formed one where you can see the outlne of the blade?

I just received one last week,

Good design and i finally bought one.

- crinkle coat finish (coming off near tip already, imperfection in coating application on rear of handle).

- my sheath is a fitted/ formed version NICE job too :)

- wearing it with paracord threaded to carry behind the belt.

Both of mine came with a formed, pancake-style sheath where you can see the blade outline. One of the two sheaths had good retention, the other not so much. I ended up getting a mind-blowingly awesome sheath made by Invictus Kydex. It's seriously the nicest kydex sheath I've ever encountered.
