I recently got a BATACLE. Great Blade!! Kudos to Jerry and the gang. What profile does Busse use on this edge. Looking at it, the blade appears to have a chiseled edge with one side being flat and the other convexed. Is this right or do I need to get my eyes checked???

What is the angle (or angles if its chiseled) for the edge?

What is the best method to maintain the convexed side of edge? Mouse pad with wet/dry paper/ thick leather with compound???

Thanks.

unless you got a weirdo , or one sharpened by the janitor:)

It should be the same on both sides

My CG Squatch was sharpened by the janitor, I'm sure. On concrete steps a the Cobb Galeria, I think. I fixed it. I have a CE coming in from the Humpaganza. I can't wait to see what kind of edge it has. It will be my first CE. For me, a good convex edge trumps a nice paint job every time.

the comp finish knives, and atleast I can say thats the way the darned boxes were marked anyway.

comp finish...not comp edge:D:p:p

Jerry was fileting (however you spell it) post it notes with comp finish knives at the counter at Blade.

THey sure as hell beat a paint job brotha!:D

That is encouraging, knife hunter. I seem to remember something about them having a convex edge when Jerry first announced them. I hate to take work away from worthy janitors, but they could always sweep up slivers of post it notes. At any rate, I will know soon. :D
