What type of grind does the Chinook have?

Hey jefroman! Here is the link to the Spyderco section at Knife Center. They carry most models, and give some information about most models: http://knifecenter.com/knifecenter/spyderc/

Also, if you go to the top of any page here, you will see the word "store." Click on that, use the search mechanism for Spyderco -- or any other brand -- and find the particular model in which you're interested. 1SKS has a wide variety also, and usually has more info re the specs of knives. And -- at least they used to -- they will consider matching a lower price found at another vendor. Plus, you can help support the forums by buying from 1SKS.

Not trying to discourage questions, but it might amaze you how much you could learn by going through all the knives of a particular manufacturer.

WHile I'm in the advice giving mode, SS handles really can be slick. I would suggest to you that you spend some time with a FRN or G-10 handle, and get lots of experience cutting before trying an SS handled knife. Most knife knuts are cut with some frequency, but there's no point in stacking the deck against yourself. I think the VG-10 Delicas and Enduras are going to be totally cool, even with FRN handles.
