Just kidding.

I just got my Umnumzaan, and its all awesome great. But i have never owned a knife this tight. So when does it loosen up? :) This reminds me of my Kimber Custom II.

when its used enough!

In all seriousness, I've had mine for a little over a week now and its still on the stiff side, I feel that it should have loosened up in the first few days of use.

Sit and watch a good TV show and open and close it a few hundred times it might help.

Messing with that pivot is not necessary and neither is more lube. That pivot has perforated sealed washers that need to break in. Just keep opening and closing it. It will start to feel smoother shortly.

Just got my new Sebenza today, and it is tight, tighter than any other Sebenza I have had, but I like it this way! Course with use it will smooth up and the blade will begin to feel like it is being opened on glass.

When I got my umnun a month ago I had to use two hands ...it was

so stiff. Spend a few sesssions of watching tv etc. opening and closing over

and over.I did this for about 20 mins.the first time....easier but nothing like it

is now.It took about 2 weeks of o/c before it was easy.I gets easier with

time.

Clockman, what percentage lockup you goyt on the umnum? My Sebenza has about 30-40 percent of the blade tang covered by the lockbar, and this is how I like it to be.
