I have bought a marttiini several day's ago, just because i like the looks, it has a beautifull white wooden handle and is sleek.

But i couldn't find it on their site, and since i want to know what type it is mabey someone here can help me?

The blade is 14.5 cm (5 4/5")
The handle is 12.0 cm (4 4/5")
Total thus 26.5 cm (10 3/5")
It looks like their lynx, but those are much shorter, it doesn't have a "blood-trench" and it has a fingerguard.

I know it isnt that important when i cut something with it, but i would be very glad if someone could give me some info,

Thnx.

Thank you, but that was the site i mentioned i couldn't find it on, i myself think it's an old edition lynx that isn't sold anymore. I read somewhere els on this forum that the steel isn't that good, together with the fact that this is a relativly long knive, mabey they've canceled production cause they kept on breaking.

If that's the case, i hang on to it just cause it's a beauty to look at, but ain't gonna use it, got an opinel that works for me for years now.

I have the Lynx already six years and its the same as the one on the website. Maybe our knife is even older. I bought it in Finland and used it for fishing, hunting and wood carving/whittling. For these normal ‘bushcraft’ jobs its a very nice knife.

The steel is great IMO very sharp, holds a good edge and is stainless. If somebody says they keep on braking, you maybe have to ask what he was doing whit the knife. It isn’t a prybar but a small hunting knife!

You're right, i played with it for a few day's now, and in the meanwhile i decided it is a desecration not to use it; it is light, very well ballanced, and on top of that SHARP.

What i also like about this knife is the handle, and i don't only mean the shape but it feels almost sticky. Therefor it lies in my hand as if it's attached.

The fact that it is so sharp already, means the steel is hard, maybe that it breaks somewhat easier therefor. I use a global cooking knife i.g. and when i bought that one i was told not to drop it because it is so hard. And something is either hard or able to bend. (by the way, it has fallen a lot, the global, but never broke.)

O, i am a musician and have to travel a lot, also i like hiking with my husky, so i am going to use it any way i can and will post my further findings here.
