Hello, I picked up this knife at a garage sale and I wanted to know a bit more about it. Does anyone know what this type of sheath is called? The sheath is metal and comes apart. I can't upload a photo for some reason so I've attached dropbox links.

I am far from an expert in these types of sheaths but it appears to me that the sheath was made in two pieces then pinned together at one time and the pin fell out.
Welcome to the forum.
 
Don't know what to call the sheath, but the whole rig sure is reminiscent of a tourist trap piece. I hope you got it for a while lot less than the original "tourist" owner.
