General,

Not sure of the heat treat(rockwell), but I read that Randall uses forged O-1.

O1 from Sweden is their carbon steel. Their stainless is 440-B. They forge that too. Randall has experimented in the past, having made at least one knife from ATS-34. If they sold that one, whoever has a forged ATS-34 Randall has a wicked knife! I be they kept that one though...

I don't know anything about how they heat treat.

Does forgeing a knife make a big difference?

I thought all blades were forged in effect anyway?

Those of who are members of the Randall Knife Society get the "Shop Notes" indicating that Randall has made a significant number of #14's with 440C and most of their #10's are ATS34.
