Many are made in Seki, Japan. I think only those with CMPS30V or S60V blade material are made in US. Any comments on my point? Thanks.

S30V and S60V are American steels, so the Golden knives use those. VG-10 is a Japanese steel, so the Seki knives use it. Thant was my understaning anyway.

Hi Yuchang. In addition to S60V & S30V, Spyderco also uses VG-10, 440C, ATS-34 and Gin-1 in the Golden plant.

When it comes to anything Spyderco makes it really doesnt make a difference where it comes from! All of their products are top notch and extremely reliable.

I would think that some people prefer to buy the American made ones because they know their money is going to people employed in America which they know will help jobs stay here and also help the economy here. I agree, all of their products are top notch regardless of where they are made.
