What up with the Hayes Tomahawks

Cliff,

The Hayses are counterclaim defendants to actions instituted by American Tomahawk Company, LLC, Survival Sheath Systems, and BladeForums.com inasmuch as American Tomahawk Company, LLC is a co-defendant to actions instituted by the Hayses.

This issue is nothing new in terms of its discussion here on BladeForums and it has been ongoing since early 2002.

One might think when reading their complaint, that BECAUSE their allegations are within the context of an official legal document, they must have some merit or truth. The travesty of our country's legal system in my assessment, after dealing with this matter for over a year, is that in many cases, filing a complaint can result in impressions made to the public that are not based in fact or merit, or at least, those impressions are made prior to the scrutiny of a legal and factual assessment.

The Hayses updated their site recently with the information to which you refer and offer a link. It is a copy of their initial complaint. We have not published or presented copies of our counter-claims or counter-suit due to etiquette. Nonetheless, they are quite serious. However, our refrain from publishing them may change out of necessity.

I have had a formal statement about the matter being reviewed by our attorney. Upon his approval, it will be issued here and elsewhere.

Thank you.

ATC,

I have bought two hawks from you guys and they are absolutely awesome. My V-Tac goes with me on every combat mission I fly and there is no doubt it will perform when or if I ever need it. I have followed the controversy with Cold Steel and Hayes and will NEVER buy ANY product from them. I feel it is important to support honest companies that provide quality service and products. Forever I am an exclusive ATC customer!

For all prospective tomahawk buyers, look no further. Spend a little extra money and get the best. One day your life might depend on it.

Sincerely,

JB

Having read this suit it simply reinforces my belief that our system of justice be it civil or criminal is in need of a major overhaul. since it's our only system of justice, you would think it would be designed to cut through the BS and handle the heart of the matter. In the case I just read there appears to be a whole lot of horse crap and a little bit of substance. This is *just* another example of a Lawsuit that will cost loads in legal expenses, be very Judicially un-economic and take years to resolve.

Just my opinion..........

I can't believe this...

Andy,
I have purchased knives and known you for just over 4 years and I have known Robert for a little over a year. You are both excellent and honorable men.

Robert and I had an hour conversation about my time in Iraq after I called him and paid for my sheath for my Brend (which I took with me and carried the entire time I was deployed)!

To make a long story short...I, too, am an exclusive ATC buyer now as well!

I can't stand the fact that there are *idiots* out there who don't know when "wrong" is "WRONG!"

GO FOR THE THROAT!!

That's what I say!!

Good luck,
Sergeant Jess C. Horsley
USMC

To all the Vets out there..."THANK YOU" a day late!!
