What upgrades would you put on a production Manix 2

Does spyderco have plans to make a manix 3? What would you like to see on the upgraded version if they did? I would love a FULL FLAT GROUND production version with a Carpenter steel and g10

Pretty sure they made a Sprint run with those specs. I've got a Sprint run with Orange g10 and a ffg s30v blade

Yep they sure did but only in a limited run. Not everyone could get one and not everyone has the cash to buy one off the secondary market.

Honestly, I think it'd be unnecessary given the number of FFG Manix 2 sprints that have been and will continue to be made. One reason the Manix 2 is such a popular knife is that the standard 154CM hollow ground version is priced so reasonably given its materials and place of manufacture. And then people who try the standard version and fall in love with it can go on to buy Manix 2 sprints if they want FFG, upgraded blade steels, different G-10 colors, and so forth.

There's more than one Manix 2 with a steel made by Carpenter. The first one, with CTS-XHP and Foliage Green G-10 scales, sold out long ago, but the more recent one, with CTS-BD30P (Carpenter's version of CPM-S30V) and coarse-textured Black G-10 scales, is still available from dealers, on the 'bay, etc. at reasonable prices.

even though it's a sprint run, the manix2 BD30P fit's your criteria and you should be able to find one for sale.

The Manix 2 is no small knife and you dwarf that thing. You have some hamhocks for hands, my friend. My hat is off to your awe-inspiring hand-stature.

To me, the blade shape and size were a turnoff. I have the vanilla version and it sees zero pocket time. I also had the CTS-XHP version yall were talking about, but had to sell it.

I have no use for a 3.4" blade, as I carry a 4" and a 3" folder at all times.. so I would like to see both

-a 4 inch version with a pointier blade
-a 3 inch version

Both in CTS-XHP and CBBL (I loved this lock)

I do no believe that for a minute. For literally months and months the XHP Manix2 was being sold for around $20 more than what they originally sold for. The BD30P is still available from some places for what it sold for originally. All hobbies and quality tools cost money, that's the way it is. Search ebay and online knife stores if you want to find one, check the exchange here, start a wanted to buy thread.

thanks man, here's another pic of the BD30P. great knife by the way, i like BD30P better than S30V and coarse G10 is probably my favorite G10.

I'm a big M2 fan, but if we're wishing then let's have the M3 have a 3.75" to 3.9" blade and be just a bit slimmer (not thinner) in the pocket.
