Don't see it on General or field use. Would like to know so I don't go all out lol. I'm thinking it might be under CAK since this thing is sooo buff for it's size and looks and feels indestructible. Thanks

I'm sure Karda will chime in sooner or later.

Honestly, I am not sure, but because it is a Baby CAK, I am pretty sure it will stand up to some serious use.

I plan to rig up a compact, clip on sheath and edc it. It would be an ideal gardening tool, more suited for finer work than the larger khuks (obviously), maybe even a good hunting knife.

Well.....Any decision is always up to Auntie, but on the BVCAK I would have to say that since you really aren't going to chop wood with it and because of it's size it really isn't a warrantable pry bar.....It's likely a general use khukuri.

With a baby CAK and my Grand Baby Chit (almost 9" i think 3/8" thick) I battoned thru almost a rick of oak during a week camping trip with a family of four during the fall at Lake Tahoe. They were my sole woods prep tools. I would be batonning thru 5"pices of oak while my daughter was carving toothpicks with the other. This was testing the knives as they were gifts for my daughters. Nothing but scratched finishes. I know the ones we got could go thru any size wood they can get a bite on and take a beating from baseball bats every day.

As far as the warranty goes, it probably General Use, as Karda says.

As far as what you actually use it for, that probably depends on the spine thickness as much as anything. I looked back at the most recent posting of a Baby CAK, but all it gave was the overall length, not the weight or spine thickness.

I'd say if the spine thickness of yours is 1/4" or more, you can probably use it for anything that makes sense in relation to its size: probably anything except chopping thick pieces of wood. With a knife that small, you'd probably wear out your hand trying to do any serious chopping.

For the larger HI khukuris that are warranteed for heavy chopping, the weight is usually up around 2 oz per inch of overall length, sometimes a little less. If you have the means to weigh yours, what is the overall length, weight and spine thickness?

Thanks for the input everyone. Spine thickness is a tiny bit over 1/4" and it's 10" flat in length . Don't have a way to weigh tho.

I told Yangdu to send me two of the baby CAKs, after she posted that she had several more, because a good friend of mine fell in love with my tiny little bilton, so I figured I'd surprise him with one of the baby CAKs. The two baby CAKs that arrived are significantly different from each other! They are both about 10 1/4" +/- (one is slightly longer), but one has a 1/4" spine and weighs 8 oz, while the other one has a 5/16+" spine and weighs 10.2 oz on my scale. I think I'm going to hang on to the 10 oz one - it has a "beefy little thing" feel to it, similar to the IBBB micro AK bowie.
