About a month ago, I purchased an Emerson Commander, and its pivot screw was not the flat sided one....thus I am not sure what version mine is...it is marked as 2000, but I thought that since the introduction of the SARK, all screws have been flat?
this is the pic:

Sounds like you have a Second Generation Commander.

The flat sided pivots were originally used in models like the SARK and CQC7s that had reversible clips. When the supply of round sided pivot was expended, they started using them in all models, including the Commanders.

Thanks! John...(aka Commander man).
I thought that mine was special....now I know otherwise...I am now trying to collect the different versions of the commander...
