What do you answer to the question that has been asked so many times by people around you? That is if you have anyone around watching when you check the mail.

Do you say that it's yet another knife?
 
My wife isn't into knives (tho she has a few of her own) but she's always excited to see what I got and she trusts my financial decisions with our money so I don't have to hide anything from her either, really its fun to show her new knives and teach her about new stuff.

My girlfriend and I don't live together, so whatever I do with my money is my business. Plus she knows I spend more on stuff for her than for myself. Designer shoes and equipment for her spa/beauty center make Sebenzas seem cheap.

My neighbor knows what I get in those USPS Priority small flat rate boxes.
No big deal. My business.
 
I get asked by family members sometimes. They usually assume it's a blade, but from time to time they're curious about just what sort. They're not into blades specifically(my dad believes in carrying a pocket knife and always does, but he doesn't collect or anything), but sometimes they see something that they take notice of. My stepmom for example tend to like the ones with colored handles, so my blue Opinel 8, a couple of my Rough Riders, my custom Buck 110 with indigo royalwood handle scales, my blue sprint run Tenacious...ones like those she usually takes notice of. My dad OTOH was most recently impressed by the Kershaw Camp 18...he watches zombie movies, but beyond that he's never been into the whole "zombie apocalypse" fad. But when he held the Camp 18, he commented "I think if there was a zombie attack, I'd want to have this if I didn't have a gun".
 
A knife I "traded" for. Or the next knife I'm going to "sell".

Bear in mind, I rarely trade or sell knives...

Too bad I can't use that excuse because they're less than 5 minutes away from me.

People around me: "What'd you get this time?"
Me: "A new knife/flashlight/pen/etc"
Them: "Didn't you just get a package a day or two ago?"
Me: "Indeed I did, this is from another trade(or one I bought)."
Them: "Let me see it, what one is it?"

Then I tend to ramble a bit after that and will save you guys from that lol. But they know what the packages are, and I just tell them lol. They don't seem to mind. The packages have been slow lately, but that's because I downsized and I don't have a whole lot of cash lol.
