Hey guys! Sorry I haven't been around here in a while, I have been posting a few in the discussion forum. Anyway, what was the bali in Face Off? That one looked smaller than the 42, and had the kris blade if I remember right. I knew yall would know!

Thanks,

I know what it wasn't

It wasn't a Custom PC/BM BaliSong, it just looked too cheesey almost like it was chromed instead of stainless...

I hear that Jody Samson is now working in Hollywood, fabricating weapons for movies, etc. (I don't know if that is true, I just heard it) It might be that it was aluminum and made specifically for the movie, barring any other knowledge that might come forth.

it's a china cheapie w/flame blade in silver. They have them at knifezilla

I don't know, it looked pretty balanced to me (the undulations were even and consistent). I have a flame blade and they look nothing like the Face/Off bali. The handles look exactly like my 30S, it also looks like it feels the same way while manipulating it, though the manipulations in Face/Off sucked huge a$$ and my mom can flip a bali better than Travolta it looked like it could have been made my Samson. Also, the hinge pins looked exactly the same. Did everyone look at how the blade transitioned from the tang to the actual blade?? It looked a lot like they do in PC and BM customs.

Maybe if we can contact someone or a company involved in the movie we can find out?!?

I also think this was something other than a cheapie, the handles looked exactly like a BM SS handled knife.

I have examined it on DVD with freeze-frame. It's a charming china cheapie with the latch removed (probably because Travolta couldn't deal with it). You can read a detailed review by clicking here.
