The title says it. Post a pic if possible.

My first knife was a Camillus cub scout knife my dad got me in the late 60's, maybe 1970. It was a three bladed affair with can opener, screw driver, awl and of course a blade. I remembered it was a high carbon steel and took a razor edge. Wish I could find mine now, but seem to have lost it.

I think the first knife I bought was a Buck 110 folder which I carried in the leather belt pouch with me every day to school (when that was still possible).

The purchases have yet to stop.

What was the first knife that you received/bought and started you down the path?

It was a Spyderco Endura clipit full serrated, dont remember the blade steel. At the time they were the only knives i remember having any sort of pocket clip. Bought that one along with a single edge Gerber clip lock fixed blade, the ones that had a locking clip the clicked into the zytel sheath they came with...... Wish I could go back to those days.

I was 16 years old in 1992, they didn't even ask for ID. I bought them from a chain called Advance Cutlery, they used to be a common sight at most malls in So. California.

This is the first knife I remember buying. It's a Schrade, not sure what model. I was maybe 15 and that was 28 years ago. Man that sounds like a long time ago. It skinned many deer when I was younger. Haven't really used in the last 5 or 6 years.

I received a SAK camper when I was 10. The first knife I remember buying was a cheesy "Texas toothpick" fixed blade at the mall when I was 12. I actually still have that knife because my dad found it last year in the garage!! I would post a pic but I am about 500 miles from home right now:)

My first knife was a SAK of some kind from my Grandpa. As soon as I got it I cut the hell out of my finger with the saw blade and my mom took it away from me. I have no idea what happened to that knife after that. Sometime later my Grandpa game me a Buck 303. I EDC'd that for a few years and still have it. The first knife that I bought with my own money was a Buck 112.

My Dad gave me a 2 bladed Case pocket knife when I was 10. I used that knife a lot until I lost it swimming in the Summer of 1976, I was 12 at the time. Shortly after that I bought my first knife a Buck 110. I still have it, it's my toolbox knife now. It has seen plenty of abuse the past 35+ years.

The only knife that I wouldn't trade is the late 30's Primble that my GrandPa gave me in 1969.

mine, technically, was a multi-tool. A Topeak Alien. Basically it just had tools useful for emergency bike repairs.
