What was the first thing you cut with your CRK and what did it do to you?

I just bought my first Sebenza and the first thing I cut was my finger! Lol

I bought a used Sebenza and could not be happier. This is the most amazingly simple yet intricate thing I have ever used. The night I got it I was opening and closing it and left my right thumb in the lock bar cut out. Sliced just in front of my nail and smooth down a good 1/4". As I stood there bleeding, mouth open, the only thing I thought about was "wow! This knife is amazing!"

True story...

Anyways, the first REAL thing I cut was some zip ties on a piece of machinery. I pulled my knife out like I normally would and proceeded to to go to work. It's only after I had cut the first few ties that I hit me. I had taken my nice, clean Sebenza and used it. I was amazed and excited but felt like I had lost something. Like I had ruined it a little. I know that's what the intention for this device is, to work! But still... By the end of my project the feeling had passed and all I felt was pride. Pride that I could use a tool of this caliber in my every day life.

Any one feel the same?

Sort of... I started using my Small Insingo at work almost immediately upon getting it. I quickly bought a Small 21 and a Small Starbenza, rotating through the three. My use at work was fairly light, opening boxes and cutting urethane and vinyl medical film and tubing for sample testing. The first job that really hit me with how good these knives were, was when my Dad and I were trying to help a girl on the side of the highway who's car had been sideswiped. Her front bumper was hanging off, held on by one side. It kept getting in the way as we tried to move her car further onto the shoulder, so without much thought, I pulled out my Small 21 and cut through about 6 inches of plastic car bumper with significant ease. Almost immediately afterwards, I realized that I had used my Sebbie and it had worked like a champ. I wasn't babying my CRK's up till that point, but that was definitely a confidence booster experience.

I bought a used small 21 and was utterly amazed at how effortlessly it cut through cardboard boxes as if it was a much bigger knife.

I honestly still baby my sebbie because I forget what it can handle, but thanks for the reminder!
