What was your first and favorite Busse???

My first was a Basic 9.

My favorite is the Steel Heart.

This IS subject to change of course... I think if they made a badger attack in the same thickness as the ZT series, that would quickly be wrestling with the Steel Heart for the top position. :p

All-time absolute favorite is still the Basic 7. LOVE those Basic handles and that 7" blade size. :D :D :D However, most days it's a Basic 5 that's riding on my belt simply because it's easier to cover. The B7 stays in the vehicle, so it's never more than a couple minutes away and is absolutely, positively, definitely the one blade I want on me for serious all-purpose survival work.

Then there is the Assault Shaker that Andre Dumochel was kind enough to introduce to me and is now a 24x7 carry. I use it every day for food, mail, scraping, unpacking, or any number of other jobs. Last weekend it was a marking knife for woodworking to make lines MUCH more precise than a pencil. :) Tomorrow? Who knows. But it'll be there ready, willing, and able.

Good thread :D, My first was a Basic 9, my favorite is a BA-E. Goes with me whenever I'm outside doing anything. Like RokJok, I also carry my AS with me everywhere, although mine is used primarily for a back-up knife.
Of course after receiving my SJ last week it may become my favorite, I haven't really had a chance to give it a good workout yet. ;):D

First was a #7 quickly followed up by a #5.

SJ is incoming. I think it's the one right before Nimrod's. ;)

Mine was the Battle Mistress straight handled INFI.

Favorite is a Badger Attack E. BUT, I love them all.

My first was a straight handled battle mistress from 2TheHilt. Great knife that sparked my love for Busses. My favorite is slowly becoming the natural outlaw, as it keeps on impressing me every day. For a 6" blade it offers some serious power when needed.

Toolin--

My first was a Basic #5, and I really like the ergonomics, balance, blade-to-handle ratios, and blade profiles of the #7 and #9.

I've also had straight BM's & SH's, and variants of each, plus BM-E, SH-E, NO-E, Mean Streets and Satin Jack. Of all, my favorite is the SH-E--also the most versatile and toughest in the "big knife" category of any knife I've owned to date.

Fun thread--thanks.

First was an apprentice cord-wrapped Mean Street with over-sized talon holes.

Favorite is my straight-handled Steel Heart.

My first is my favorite, a 5/16 INFI Badger Attack straight handle. I have to thank Frank Butterworth for that one. A close second is the Mr. Mojo.

Satin Jack this ... Satin Jack that. SJ here, SJ there.

I'M NOT FALLING FOR IT GUYS! IT'S NOT WORKING! :o

I was the 150th person to order a BM back in 97 when they were still
Limited Edition satin finished. I got #300 & #500. Great knives. Gave
#300 to a friend. Got the last Steel Heart II Jerry had in the shop
last week. Paid a little more but the straight handle was worth it.
And I picked up a Badger Attack straight handle satin finish back
when I ordered my BMs. I'd have to say the BA is my fave but for
heave work nothing beats the BM.

Ric

P.S.
Nimrod, it took two and a half years to get my first BM.
I didn't get the second one till 6 months later and I
ordered them at the same time. Good luck.
