Just curious what people bought first, large or small, with or without inlays?

I'm trying to decide on my first Sebenza, a Large 21, either plain Ti handle or wood inlay.

small 21 plain, has been my EDC for a year

second was a small regular stars and stripes, i have larges now too, still like the small

inlays add some thickness to the handle so some say it adds a little more grip. I like the inlayed versions alot, but the all Ti looks and feels more like a tool to me. my 2cents.

My first Sebenza was a small 21. I didn't really like the scales or the stonewash finish on the blade so I sold it.

However, I now own a small 21 with Bloodwood inlays and I adore it. The polished scales, satin finished blade, gold thumblug, and beautiful wood inlays give it the extra bit of elegance and refinement I was looking for. Also, the Bloodwood and gold thumblug compliment each other wonderfully.

I didn't realize the inlays made the knife thicker.

I think the above comment about the plain Ti handled knives looking more like a user while the inlays add a bit of class is accurate. Those inalys do look nice.

my first sebenza was a small plain regular. i think for your first seb plain Ti is the way to go.

Still figuring how to get my first.

If I didn't have so many freakin' Benchmades and saved for awhile I would have it already.

And don't bother trying to trade multiple Benchmades for a Sebenza, It will never happen.

When I do get one I like the looks of the Classic. Looks like the perfect bulletproof EDC.

first was a large plain classic.

then a small plain classic.

sold both. then a ug regular, which i lost in d.c.

then a "p" ug, which i traded for a newer ug regular.

then an insigno.

Small regular, plain finish. Bought it from the shop after Chris took the family for a tour at the old location. He said it will do pretty much anything the large will, and he was right. That was quite a few CRK knives ago, been hooked ever since:)

My first and only (so far!) is a Small 21 with plain Ti. I LOVE it, in fact I have not bought a new knife since I got my Sebbie a year ago!

But now I have a mnandi in my sights!

I think I might go with the plain Sebenza for starters and the when I'm fully addicted, get on with inlays.

My CRK collection began with acquiring several One Piece knives before I even considered a CRK folder. After much looking, I came across one on ebay right before Christmas several years ago. At the time, I did not know about the different steels used or models. Long story short, I ended up getting the sebenza.....Shortly after I realized how special it really was and what a deal I got on it..................My First Sebenza ???
A Large Regular Sebenza with BG-42 Blade Steel in Mint Unused Condition for $280 including shipping

My first was a large regular Sebenza. Sold it about a year later because I really did not like how difficult it was to get ahold of the thumb stud. Discovered the Classics a few years later which really changed my mind on how great these knives are.

My 1st Seb was an '05 small Classic bocote wood inlay model that I got about 4+ yrs ago.

My first Seb' has an ATS 34 blade , small size , original pattern. I carry a small regular with the S30V blade. The first one has never been used , still in box with papers.

Paul.

I purchased my first Sebenza, a righty, pocket clip not yet an available feature, in December of '93.
