My brother just left my house, he had to gloat about his latest aquisition. A Strider GB. Before this morning I'd only ever seen pics of them online, and all I have to say is I WANT ONE or 2 or 3 or4..........and infinitum. The best I can describe the thing was a folding prybar in every sense of the word. No handle flex when gripped tightly, rediculously thick blade and liners and IT"S HUGE. The only scaled photo I've seen was one that AluminumOvercast took of a very nice young asian lady holding I believe an AR. It's bigger than I'd ever Imagined. Can someone point me in the right direction to order a NEW GB with the Tigerstripe finish?

What was your first impression of Striders?

Neo Vizio,

Now you went and did it!:D You held one and that's all it takes to get addicted to Strider Knives.

All there knives are bomb proof. I know own about six Stider all fix blades. I am still waiting on my AR to arrive.

To order one, you can call Strider knives and place an order. You can try Triple Aught Design at www.tripleaughtdesign.com

My first impression was: "I want to destroy something with this"...actually, I still get that every time I hold my BD :D

The fit and finish on my Strider is...how shall we say this politely..."functional beauty"...I like to call it "Like Used in Box" (LUIB) condition...ordinarily, I would not like this type of thing but in this case, it really adds to the "hard-core" concept...I have never wanted to use or even abuse a knife as much as my Strider. I recently handled the Buck version of the EBLS and I got the same "this is badass!!!" feeling. Striders have really spoiled me...I now look at other knives as "pretty but wimpy".

I have to admit that I never understood the concept of buying more than one knife from a given maker...when I got "into" knives, I vowed to get knives from as many different makers as possible...that was before discovering Strider.

Thanks Striderguys, thanks a lot

What's the average wait time if I was to order a GB from Strider vs ordering from TADGEAR.com. I know TAD's web URL whats Striders ordering phone #? Price?

Neo. Watch this forum like a hawk. Someone will celebrate scoring a GB or AR in a post and they usually say from whom. Then you must pounce. Matt Donohue got me the AR and the GB came from OSOGRANDE Knives on the west coast. Keep watching.

When I first handled th GB I thought
When I first handled the AR I thought
After handling both for awhile I thought

Good Luck ec

Ed, thanks for mentioning my name, but I am an authorized Strider dealer and get all my Strider knives directly from them. I'm glad you are enjoying them. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks again,
Matt D.

Contact Joe Estrada!

He got my AR for me! Service is first class and a great guy to boot! I can't say that enough! He'll do you right.

David

PS
STRIDER makes the best knives I have ever used. The AR is my EDC now and is well worth the investment. I have never regretted dropping the kind of money you have to for one. I definitely got what I paid for. Thumbs up!

Remember X-Men the movie, the grin on Wolverine when he found the button on the motorcycle for Super Xtra Speed......that was me when I first held my AR. :D :D :D :D :D

RL,
it's funny that you should say that because that's exactly what I was thinking about 2 weeks ago when I scored my first Strider (GB). The terms I like to use is seek-and-destroy. I personally can't wait to see pics of the SnG. That will be a sweet piece for sure!;)

Got my first one last week from Mr. Palucci, a D9. I ripped open the box, took it out of the sheath, and uttered the following:

"Wow this thing's heavy."

I showed it to a few close friends who appreciate such things. The responses ranged from, " 'bout time you bought a real knife" to "you're sick."

I'm digging the Strider's I've handled. Great form and function for sure, they feel so fine in the hand!!! I might be a bit off but I love the SMELL of a Strider!!
Stay Safe,

a BM Stryker is a fine fine knife, one of BM's best .....It's just nowhere NEAR a Strider.

the mad hunt for a GB or AR continues

The first time I held a Strider I was disappointed at how ugly and badly-designed the little black blade was on the AD. And it was so dull that it couldn't even cut a piece of PAPER! Then, Cormac showed me how to take it out of the sheath.

What's that smell?????????

It's the Strider smell. I still don't know why they smell this way. I just take it all in and enjoy the knife.:p

Me picking up my GB for the first time: DE AMN!!!!!!!! (to quote that short actor from the movie "Black Knight"
