And What folder do you think is just the perfect wight , Light with out compromising strength?

What closed length (dimensions )do you think is perfect? for EDC folder?

What manufacturer or custom maker do you think nailed it regarding weight, dimensions and stringth ?

For EDC weight, I like for it to be at least 2.5 ounces but no more than 5 ounces.

The width should not be more than about 2".
And the length of the knife closed should be somewhere between 4" and 6".

The Spyderco Pacific Salt, the older Endura 3, and the new Endura 4 are just about perfect EDC size and weight.

The stats above really only apply to pocket-clip carry.
Belt pouches and sheathes allow for heavier and larger EDC's.
And inside the pocket carry reduces the size and weight allowed.

Mimimum, a small Sebenza; max, a SnG. Some people carry a lot bigger, but they guy who carried an dull Leek because he might cut himself?

Small is as small does.

I found the Crawford Kasper from CRKT much to heavy but felt great with the BM 520. The AFCK is on the strong side but lighter.

The C-K CRKT was nice in hands but big in pockets. The 520 was placed in the mid: full size handle without being to long.

The AFCK sometimes could have been shorter.

Luckily there are no general sizes.

I like larger edc folders. I regularly carry my BM 610 Rukus @ 7.70 ounces and find it to be ideal. My other carries are also over the 7.0 ounce mark and I have no problem with them AS LONG AS they have clips for deep pocket carry. In fact the next two custom folders I have coming are both over the 7 ounce mark also. As far as blade length goes, I like around 4.0" or slightly greater. Closed length will then be in the 5.0" range or greater. The one knife I have that does not fall into this range, but is close, is my Ontario Retribution I, and it is slightly larger than my normal carry.
