What will be your next balisong?

We have alot of new knives coming out. Benchmade is coming out with the 42BLK, 43, 43A, 43BLK, 47, 47A, 47BLK, or myabe you haven't gotten a 42, 42S, 42A, the 42AS yet.:eek: Microtech has released the Tachyon in several different options. A new producer has released the Monarch.

There are still alot of discontinued production models and customs that are clasics and soon to be antiques that are fairly easy to find.

We can't forget about all of the current custom baliosng makers that have been producing such fine pieces.

So with all of these decisions which will be your next baliosng? If you want to list more than one please list them in order of your favorite.

I think I'm going to pick up a BM47, I love tantos.:) Then a BM43, and the next will be a Tachyon, I'm waiting for the satin finish.
 
I'm thinking about ordering the Advanced Tech brass balisong from Knifezilla, if there are still some left.
After that I'd like to order a Tachyon or two, if I can find someone to disassemble them (customs :mad: ).
I also NEED a BM 43 and 47, at least one Dobruski, a Monarch.... :D
 
Well for me, it'll probably be another BM42... after that I've genuinely no idea. Theres just so darned many to choose from. I like the looks of the '43 though. Of course if a kris bladed model comes out soon, then I'll go for that first. :D

Aaahhhh... so many knives, so little money. :(
 
The Monarch is possibly at the top of the list.

If SWAT comes out with a steel or titanium handled Tiger, you can add that as well...

Oh boy...

Benchmade Drop Point Tanto.

Benchmade Bowie.

MT Tachyon.

Oh, and what else is on the horizon? Possibly Latchless BMs? I hear there are "legality issues," if they make it, I will get one.

And the BM Kriss? Oh, you better believe it...take that to the bank and get interest...if they make it, I will get one...

What else is looming?

Who knows?

Maybe an Arachnid will one day be a reality, now how cool would that be Gentlemen? :D
 
As I was trying to explain to my wife, two 43s are necessary for me to have balance in my life. I need the Tachyon just because it looks good.
 
I've had the S.W.A.T. Tiger in both aluminum and brass; I've got another Dobruski on order(brass, wood, Scimitar); a Gemini on order("007"); a MT on order; a Monarch and leather sheath on order. Whew..................oh, and I got the new generation ChinaCheapie. I'm not in a big rush to get on the new BM's since they will be around for a while and I missed out on the numbered knives:(. I'm even trying to work out a deal on the latchless ti bali billed as the 'rarest in the world'.............we'll see. :cool:
 
Well, it'll probably be my pre-ordered Monarch, unless my dealer calls me back this week with news that he's received the new benchmades. In which case it will be the 47... can't get enough of tantos. r'uhh r'oh, I think I'm spending too much money. :p

47! 47! 42a! If my balisong savings funds are not depleted then possibly a 43. OOOoh can't wait for that 47 mmmmm..tanto:)

changed my mind! i think i'll get a monarch. i have yet to own a high-end bali with steel handles. i think it'll be great as a user, since it's sturdy & made of good materials (ats-34 blade). then i guess i'll have to carry yet another bali all the time, since i don't think i can bear to switch any of my other beloved friends out of the rotation!
i noticed that several of you guys have ordered them... when did they say you'd get 'em?

If I was asked this question once a month for the past 3 months, you would've gotten three different answers. As it stands now, I'll have to be getting the Monarch. I like it so much, it's as if they made it just for me. :) A real sturdy, tank of a knife with a very simple look, that'll give my hand a workout everytime I swing it. I'll probably get two of these before I get any other balisong.

Definitely Gemini, Tachyon, BM42 with black handles, and probably some cheapo Spanish balisong (cool appearance) and cheap (about $30) :)
 
Gotta be a Dobruski for me. I'm waiting untill the prices come down on the 43 and 47, a new Tachyon will cost me too much new since I have to pay tax b/c I live in FL so I'll wait till a used one turns up. The Monarch sure looks good too so I may pick one of them up.

I am currently trying to decide what options I want on my Dobruski to make it the perfect knife for me. It's gotta be SS handles with wood inserts for me though.

MT Tachyon, definitely.

I'd love to get a Dobruski, but I'd have to figure out how to get it shipped to me.
