Well I cant believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner - sneaks up every year and its still in the mid fifties here! As usual we will be up in the Catskills (Woodstock) with the entire family.

I'm not a big whisky or brandy guy (blasphemy I know) and will most likely be sipping tequila - a Don Julio 1942 anejo - just discovered it a month ago and its really nice if you enjoy tequila, which is my favorite liquor (me and my wife actually met over a shot of tequila :p).

As for brew it will be something from Dogfish Head - either the Chicory Stout or 90 minute IPA (Coors for the ladies ;)).

The special treat will be the wine - we are going to break out a few bottles of Chateau Gloria 2005 bordeaux. Still a few years early for it, but man is it good :D

So fellas, what will you be drinking?

I finished my bottle of Bulleit last night, and I need to open something this evening, which is likely to tied me over to at least Thanksgiving.

A little Knob Creek at Dad's house and JW Red at Mom's house on Friday!!

This weekend though.....

Widmer Cherry Oak Doppelbock

Sam Adams Chocolate Bock, and Macallan 12 year old. Maybe some other stuff too!

Van Winkle 15yr Bourbon, and Van Winkle 13yr Rye for sure. two of my favorites, and I just sent a few bottles to friends and family so I know there will be plenty there. woot!

I'll be drinking in the love and gratitude of my family and close fiends

Some form of bourbon...

I'm going experimental this year.

Bourbon: Pappy 20 and 25, Bookers.

Single Malt: Bruicladdich 25, Oban 15, Tamnavullin 12.

Brew: Chocolate Stout.

And if I make it past that, some Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir and a very nice Bordeaux (not sure which one just yet).

Hmm. Looks like I'm drinking my way through that holiday.:)

1. Samuel Adams " Octoberfest" seasonal beer.
2. Jack Daniels
3. McClellend "Highland" single malt scotch
maybe not in that order!

i have some alaskan smoked porter for turkey day..its made by alaskan brewing co.they use alderwood smoked barley.i visited the brewery while in juneau.every thing they make is awsome!!

As much as I can. I'm all in favor of feasting, but otherwise the holidays seem to be a useless exercise in buying unnecessary stuff.
