I am curious to hear, and more curious to see the sheaths you guys will be putting your fat ASH's in. I think this will be a heavily used knife in the woods for me and have yet to decide on material and design for the clothes she's gonna wear...

Tell us your thoughts!

I have something like this on order from Chuddy Bear Leather (photo from the Chuddy Bear Leather website) for mine:

Mines going in some OD kydex I have. Just gotta bend it up when I finish some other stuff I have on the table.

Howdy Dwayne! I think we need to talk leather! Been super busy trying to get a project of my own going... www.thehuladance.com (Mods please let me know if I should take this link down) which is where all my INFI money went... however there was just no way I was going to pass up on getting a FAT ASH, ok I like saying that for some strange reason.

I think I missed out on some great knives, but now that I have this one I am feeling the love.

I'm hoping I can convince David E to make me one of his sweet kydex rigs for my CG and HOG edition. That guy bends a mean sheath! The LE will get leather, hopefully from Chuddy Bear.

My fat ash is gonna end up in a sling if I don't slow down on the knife purchasing  :( sling, here I come  :D

I'm gonna put mine in a jar of peanut butter, then after I put the peanut butter on some bread, a bottle of lingonberry jam.

Well I sure do not want to keep mine in my "Sprinkler Head Sheath" any longer than I have to. :p I need some pants for this bad boy! ;)

Lay-Z-Boy.

Oh ASH1. I dunno yet. It's coated, so I could go either way. It would have been nice if it had fit a Spec-Ops. I've got enuf to interchange on some knives.

So probably kydex. Not too concerned about scratchin-up. I'll give it a few weeks to see what develops on the pantmakers here.

To repeat my semi-hidden earlier post, the CG ASH-1 does fit the SYK "Sheath for 6" knives", at least the ones I bought last April. It's an inexpensive, temporary home for my fat ASH until I crank out a leather, or try making a kydex, sheath for this combat cleaver. Pete
