what wire to use for anodizing titanium?

I watched a bladehq video showing how to anodize titanium using electricity, in which the guy said a titanium wire (and a titanium rod) is used to connect the ti piece to the alligator clip (which is of course connected to the batteries). He said other wires drain the batteries faster. Isn't titanium a poor electricity conductor? Why is it a better choice than, say, a copper wire? Or maybe he purposely let the electricity flow slowly?

I’ve always used a titanium wire with good results. :)

It's that part about "non-reactive." The reactive part they're referring to is the reaction between the electricity and the water-solution. If the titanium wire were copper, there would be a REACTION between the copper and the water solution and current would leak into the water that is not related to the anodizing. Likewise with the rod if it touches the solution.
