What working fixed blade knife would have been typical in 1930's Australia

I am reading a book about Australia in the 1930's, with main characters who were working men in the bush, drovers, freighters, carpenters. Do any of you know what type fixed blade knives they might have carried as working knives? In the U S I would think of Marbles, Case, Western. Wondered if the men down under had their own preferred type and brands.
