Hey I was wondering what ya'll would pick for an edc fixed blade. Price I would like not to go over $200 but the blade has to be 4in or less in my state. Thanks in advance.

General light to medium tasks, wire boxes, banding if I'm cutting a tree down the occasional small branch that irratates me. Just looking for a good all-rounder. I do have an izula but I'm looking for something a hair larger and hopefully something people don't freak out if they see it. I'm in CT unfortunately

What are your typical EDC knife tasks? Chopping trees? Opening bags of Cheetos? Filleting crappie?

It is a very specialized blade that can handle Cheeto bags!!!

I only have one fixed blade and I always recommend it.....
Check out the Guardian 3!! Can't say enough 'good' about it!!! Carries beautifully with their horizontal carry sheath. Very easy cross draw!
Good luck!!

Bark river has a lot of nice looking options, buck makes some nice smaller fixed blades as well.

Dpx gear Hest or Heft. 3 & 4" blades. Niolox steel performs very well

I second Bark river and Bradford. Or you could always ask in the knifemakers forum here at BF, lot of guys to work with. I own a Bradford Guardian 3 and am about to order a Bark River Aurora LT 3V @ 4.775". The Fox River LT 3V was my other choice and is a bit shorter @ 4.25" (Black canvas micarta for $210). Both a little over your price depending on handle material but incredibly solid knives in 3V w/ beautiful sheaths and lifetime warranties. Machined and then finished by hand.

Love the Guardian 3

Easy to forget you're carrying the G3. Awesome little blade.

Bradford gardian 3 or one of many Bark River options. If your the out door type maybe an esee or ontario 3 (cheaper too).

Fletcher Knives Pocket Kilo II or Fiddleback Forge production Hiking Buddy!

Bradford knives guardian 3. I've been insanely impressed with this little knife. The m390 steel is super awesome. It came sharp to the point where I didn't need to touch it up at all. I've been using it for a week straight for anything and everything, and it hasn't lost any edge yet. I'm very very impressed. Plus Bradford knives is a pleasure to deal with.

I absolutely love my my benchmade snody.

This is the toughest knife I have ever owned. I wish I would have had this when I was in the military.

I will probably never own another fixed blade under 4 inches unless it's a Bradford Guardian 3 or if money isn't an issue then something from Fiddleback Forge.

I'll verify that Bradford is a great company to deal with.
