What would you call the CRK Mnandi's locking system?

I was thinking frame lock (which it is, technically), but it has 2 full scales front and back, so frame lock might be misleading. Bolsterlocks are basically frame locks with only partial rear scale.

Any thoughts are appreciated. When I post photo's of Mnandi's on Insta, I like to describe them so knife enthusiasts or non-knife guys know what they are seeing (or not seeing).

Thanks in advance.

I still think of it as a frame lock by the guy that invented it. Its really not a scale buy an insert that covers the lock and the frame is still one piece. take one apart and there’s not doubt its a frame lock.

I'd call it a Reeve Integral Lock™

For all intents and purposes, it is a frame lock. But I say the same about these "bolster-locks" I have handled too. They just have a cover over some of the frame, but none of it is really structural.
I second going with the original Reeve Integral Lock.

Alternatively, a framelock with overlays/covers.

The single one feature that the RIL adds to the Walker Linerlock (Patent #US5596808A), is the thinning of the lock-bar in one place, to calibrate lock-bar pressure. That exists in the Mnandi, so therefore using RIL is technically correct.

Still I like to think of it as a hybrid lock, like in my Fulltrack :) Nice to have the scales protecting the lock-bar.

Thanks to all. I completely forgot about the Reeve Integral Lock, and that is how I will refer to this locking system now. Really appreciate your replies.

Blade HQ and GPKnives list them as framelocks.
