Recentley i purchased a fred perrin defense wallet. I bought it from a reputable retailer. When it arrived i immediatley fell in love with the minimalist design that gets rid of my wallet clutter. Unnfortunatley after i carried it for about a day i realized that there was a fault in the stitching and about a 4mm gap waopening up that could only open wider over time. This was of course unacceptable and i returned it to the retialer who honorably and courteously replaced it. When i received the new one it contained a note that said tested hand written and i after i inspected the wallet i could not find a stitch out of place i put my old wallets contents into the new wallet and gladly beeboped my way to work. when i got to the metro i unsnapped the snap that holds the credit card in place and much to my chagrin the whole snap came out of the leather. I was quite stunned. I did not want to send it in again and wait a week and a half to get a new one. and also it wasnt the fault of the retailer so i took it to a profesional leather worker and they said they could not reset the snap.

If you were in my position would you resend the wallet to the retailer and ask for a replacement? or would you send it back and ask for store credit for a future purchase? i just feel bad that two wallets have disintigrated on me and i havent even done anything abusive to them. As stated earlier its not the retailers fault so i feel bad sending things in.. also it costs me 6 bucks just to send it back to them. i gues i could just cut my losses and use it without the snap :(

So what would you guys do.

Not only do you send it in, it is your duty to do so. Otherwise, how will they know of this defect which could potentially affect other pieces?

I would send it back for a full refund, and have one made to my specs by a local custom leather specialist.
