I am taking a road trip to southern Maryland next weekend for my birthday, riding along the Chesapeake Bay. I've always enjoyed looking in old hardware stores for their knife displays. I've found some old Schrade and Camillus, maybe some old Case, but very rarely have I found anything other than work knives. I found some Uncle Henry 897UH models once.
I would like to know what you'd like to find at the old hard ware stores. I've checked, there aren't many, at least not where I'm going.
I'd like to find an old display of Remington knives, but realistically, I'm guessing a spinner display case of older Buck, Case and Schrade isn't out of the question. What old timey brands do you want to see? We can't have cleaned all of the stores out! Just to keep the thread here, let's omit any actual names of old stores.
