What you can use your H.I. knives for...

I gave one of the H.I. Seax's to a friend (and yes, she gave me a coin in exchange) and here is one of the first uses it was put to. (For you SCA types, no, not my squire)
The seax split ribs, spine, and jointed the legs. Then was used as a butcher's sliceing knife to cut and trim the meat. And was still sharp when it was all over.
I'm planning to use my Hauser this fall to butcher a pig, if the hunt goes well.

Well, the term "seax" (and all of its derivatives) translates to "utility knife", so that is certainly one of many tasks they would have been used for.

Always good to see the HI knives being used.
 
The Seax is one of my favorite blades from H.I.

I find myself carrying it more and more out in the woods.

Seax and CS Norse hawk, what a dream team.
