It's time to divulge the blades that you have coming in the mail. Or that you are hoping Santa will bring you. Rats first and foremost, but any knife will do.

Here's what I got (don't tell my wife, pleeeeease!)

Rat Trap - sterile clip
Howling Rat - Gen 2, full-height flat grind, logo'd
Howling Rat - Gen 1, one of a kind (you'll see the pics soon;))
HRLM - muddy, sterile
Rat Tail - desert finish with Wally Hayes leather wrap
INFIcoot
Rat Shaker II - sterile

Holy crap! I'm gonna be in some BIG trouble:eek:

I got a Chopweiler. I'm also waiting on a kydex sheath for my meaner street from David E. And another Kydex for my HRLM from Buy Brown. Hopefully Eric releses wardens berfore too long, I'd like to have one of those in the mail.

I've got a used Rat Trap on the way that I scored for a great price on the exchange. I'm stoked!

I got a CS SAR coming back from the shop hopefully soon. Still waiting on the Swamp Wardens to show up at the store. I have one now, but I'd like a sage or OD. Also have a Hellrazor en route which should hopefully arrive any day, and a few ASH-1's on order thanks to the sweet HOG deal.

I also know I'm getting a nice slippie for Xmas from the little lady. Not sure what one though. I know it's either a Schatt and Morgan, Canal Street, or a Queen. I gave her some ideas, and I'm sure it's one of those. Any way I slice it (pun), it's a sweet gift I'm looking forward to.

Chopweiler, muddy
Ratmandu, black w/black micarta and tan Chuddy Bear sheath
HRLM w/tan Armoralleather Randall style sheath
Kydex sheath for HRLM (we'll see what's better)
Battle Guard, tan respirene w/Semper Paratus sheath

I've also been dipping into the INFI, but that's another story.

I've got a Chopweiler on the way, a Zero Tolerance 0300 DW on the way, and a Bark River Bravo-1 under the tree. I have definetly been a good boy.

hey mike, is the sr101 as tough as everyone says? i was wondering about doing some prying with the RIP. think it can take some heavy prying?

It will do as well (or better) than most heat-treated, high carbon steels for prying. In fact, it should do great.

Considering we are talking about an icepick. Like, the size of a pencil?? Yes, you can pry. No, it is not a prybar.

As Paddling_man said it is a very tough steel. However, in something as thin and narrow as the RIP I wouldn't expect it to hold up to a lot of heavy prying. I'm sure it will bend and may even spring back to straight a few times, but I think it may snap just as readily. If you want to do some prying look into a Ratmandu, Howling Rat, or Bandicoot and pry to your little hearts desire. I have an INFIcoot, which is INFI, and I pryed apart some old pallets with it once. I would hesitat to use SR-101 blades for the same task.

i just wish that the store had more models in stock. they only had the RIP and the ratweilwer and chop ratweiler. reason i didnt get one from the store was that there is no sheath to buy to carry it... one thing i hate about SR from what little i know about them, they dont offer a sheath. they actually had some sheaths, dont think they were SR, but they were for the ratmandu and not the ratweiler, the piece they had for sell.
