So I'm just testing the waters on this one any comments, input, constructive criticisms would be welcome. So I took my 25 apart and beat off the anodized blue on the thumb stud.
I mic'd the washers and decided to make a few Teflon washer to see if there's a difference. Teflon is on spec with the stock washers. Had anyone else attempted this? On any of the CRK?
So far it feels like it it's riding on glass buttery smooth. I can't say for how long would this would last thou due to one of the washers having a key to keep it secure.

Nice experiment, how thick are the washers? In theory the Teflon will not provide the side to side stiffness that the bronze ones would but are self lubricating if needed. The lock side with the notch might just stay in place with no further action but it could be held in the right orientation with a drop of something that would stick on the bottom edge that would fit in the hole the normal tab fits in. Again, noble experiment.

Try nylatron. Bob Terzuola uses nylatron washers and states his ACTF needs no lubrication. Mine is about 4 years old and has never seen oil or grease. Per Bob, to clean, blow out with air, if really dirty, use soap and water and blow dry.

Goin "Back in Time"

I had an original large "P" Sebenza way back when and the washers were nylatron.
