Hello comrades,

It is with a puzzled mind i digest this info.
It is now illegal to carry a locking knife in the UK, yes, any knife with a lock is concidered dagerous or offencive by the police, fixed blades were out ages ago so there is no loop hole either.
I mean wats next ? guns that dont shoot !!!

Can someone please help me get a grasp of this, or prehaps share some thoughts on possable reasons for this frankly dangerous new law ???

I would be interested in a referece to this new development, like a link to an article or something.

On the other hand it wouldn't surprise me one bit, having heard the other stories about our English friends and their oddities.

Guns that don't fire can already get you into a lot of trouble. You don't even have to wave it around and threaten people to get the police after you.
