I remember he always used to post here very frequently with really insightful information on tomahawks. He has been offline for over two years now, anyone know what happened?

Yeah, I know who you're talking about. I think he went by the name "Vector". I haven't seen him around either, too bad. This sub-forum could use more posts from these guys. It's been looking a little empty lately.

I attempted to contact him in 2010 to learn more about his interaction with Pete LaGana (Vietnam Tomahawk), no luck. If you do a web search you'll find that there have been legal issues between him and others which might be the reason he's not contributing anymore.

Wow! I guess you're right about that. It seems that he had a HUGE legal issue with Justin Gingrich of Ranger Knives.

Oh well, it sucks that he doesn't frequent the forums anymore. A lot of great and informative posts came from him.

Andy Prisco is the current owner of American Tomahawk Company right? I think I may have spoken with him on the phone a few months ago. I called the number on ATC's website to ask if they carried a warranty on their VTAC's and I spoke with a very nice and polite guy who told me they don't exactly have an official warranty on their hawks but that he would replace the handle if I ever manged to break it. However, he assured me it would be near impossible to break the handle to which I 100% believe. The VTAC's are built tougher than tanks. I believe he also mentioned to watch the video of his truck running over the handle of the VTAC. (I saw it and it really impressed me.)

I'm not sure if it was Andy Prisco or someone affiliated with Fehrman Knives though. Or maybe Mr. Fehrman himself!

You spoke to Andy there Metal Made...........just not Andy Prisco. And yes, he will back up the VTAC with ANY issues you may have with it at no charge, although I doubt you will have any. ;-)

Wait, so I spoke with another guy named Andy? Not Andy Prisco?

Yeah, at first I was a little reluctant about the whole 2 piece construction thing. (I'm more of a full tang guy) However after doing a lot more research on the VTAC and watching the video where the truck runs over the handle without it breaking I can say that I would trust my life on a VTAC. I have one on the way right now actually!

Yep.......different Andy. He runs the shop there. Great guy to deal with though. Keep us posted on your VTAC. Your going to love it!

I was one of the founders of ATC. I was the person who asked my friend Peter LaGana for permission to use the name and to have Peter on board with us. I filmed a segment of a show for the Military Channel on the Army Rangers and on tomahawks. I ran over a VTAC with my pick up during that segment. Feel free to e mail me at brantonknives@tds.net for any further questions.

Prisco seemed to have a knack for pissing off all the wrong people. Somewhere on the net was a link to the court case dockets. Look if you want to. Prisco is long, and well, forgotten.

"Forgotten" must be a term of art. The link I posted is the first thing that pops up from a Google search.

Yeah, guess I should've said something more to the effect of "Prisco is best forgotten." Sometimes stuff sounds good in your head, but doesn't quite translate as good into text, if you follow my meaning.
