whatever happened to new timberline tactical folders

Hello all,

Just thumbing through an old issue (Oct. 2005) of Knives Illustrated and was wondering if anyone knows about the new Timberline tactical line previewed from the Blade Show article in the magazine. It was in the same issue that previewed the Spec Bump and the Pro-tech Ciabatta. Just two of the knives that are nowin production.

They sounded promising. G10 scales, blade steel said to be 35% better in edge retention as S30V.

Just curious.

Yeah, I wonder what went wrong myself.

The designs seemed OK, but a switch in materials occurred. And, for some reason, they never became overly popular.

But then, breaking into the mid to high range production knife market isn't a cake walk either. I think they lost impetus.
