Whatever happened to the CQC-8

It been a long time since I last posted (I don't recall why) so this may have been answered so please bear with me.

What is the status the the CQC-8 that Emerson was going to produce through Emerson Knives Inc. This was the knife that was also going to be produced with a wave also as I recall.

Go to the post titled "Lots of pictures of my new banana" and you can see a couple of CQC8's, including one custom CQC8 with the "wave". I'm not aware of any plans or announcements of any pending production CQC8's.
 
There has been talk of a production version with the wave for some time now. Part of me hopes for it to bear fruit, while another part wants it to remain custom only. Catch 22, neh? :D
 
I would LOVE to see a production version of this knife. Awesome indeed.
 
Once again,
a production waved 8 would be most welcome.
I feel like I'm repeating myself myself...
 
I believe there was a lot of heresay and conjecture about the production banana; which means it should be here just after Christmas.
Am I right?

The last rumors I recall hearing that actually came from Emerson Knives was about 2 years ago. They said the 8 was under consideration as one of many knives for production. Since then, the only rumors I have heard have come from us. Don't get me wrong, I desperately want a production 8. I hope we generate enough interest here for maybe at least a special run. Keep making noise!:D
 
I'd LOVE to see a production CQC-8. HOWEVER, I think it should have some distinguishing look or feature to set it apart from the custom -8's, besides the different logo.
