Whatever happened to the round hole?

The simple answer is...that is a POS knockoff and not a Spyderco, despite what the caption says.

I took a few minutes to look at the other items this seller has listed. In addition to Spyderco, he also has fraudulent listings for Boker, Kershaw, and Columbia River knockoffs. What is really amazing is that he has over 200 positive feedbacks & only one complaint for a false description. There really must be one born every minute.

I don't know if this is still true, but if you look at the name of the high bidder, it is "detectivehines" I think the seller might just in for a world hurt. (that he deserves, of course)

heh, heh......

The funny thing is I used to sell that knife in a cutlery shop for $3.99. The only problem was that they had a nasty habit of loosing their blades durring opening. He says "rugged and made for the outdoors." I say we find a nice cozy spot of Montana wilderness to drop him off in and see how well he and his knife fares. BTW current bid is $20.01.

I sent an email to the seller. Below is my email to him.
The knife attached is not a Spyderco. It is a nock off.and shouldn't have been advertised as such. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=501878021

Here is his reply.
It says L@@K in heading thank you and it is described in item description as
a Hi-tech knife. If you can't read well go to school. And it is not a knock
off if you new anything ABOUT THE KNIFE BUSINESS You WOULD KNOW SPYDERCO
KNIVES ARE MADE IN CHINA AND SHIPPED HERE SAME WITH S&W COLT BOKER MAGNUM
BRAND EVEN OUR BELOVED CASE KNIVES.

Perhaps you need to look into your knife supplier a little better. I bought a
SPYDERCO knife as a sample 3 weeks ago and it had a sticker on blade MADE IN
CHINA HUMMMM were did this knife come from...

Hi Cutler. Did it say Spyderco on the knife?
Did it have a round opening hole?

BTW, Did your wife get her package from Olive?

Uhm, Cutler, that's just about the rudest reply I can imagine him giving to you, especially when you were dead-on. One of the things that annoys be about the internet is the stuff people will say that they wouldn't ever say to your face. Thanks for pointing out this loser to everyone.

Hi Sal,
Not yet but then the post has been pretty slow of late.
The hole is not round. There is no Spyderco on the blade. The handle looks to be made out of stainless with slots milled into it.
It isn't even a knock off just a similar style knife.
This guy obviously makes his money from conning unsuspecting buyers, and then questions the validity of my supplier.

I contacted the buyer before it was too late and received an email back thanking me. If you noticed the buyers user name "detectivehines@aol.com", I think this jerk just sold to the worst guy possible. His days on Ebay are numbered...

Just completed my little note to Ebay. Hopefully he should have a big surprise in 36 hours.
