Hi!

How does this steel grind? I have only used RWL 34 before, which I find grinds really easy and is a pleasure to work with.

Anyone used both and can give me a comparison?

I've used both RWL34 and 14C28N for some time now. I would say that 14C28N grinds even easier than RWL34 at the same hardness.

Hand sanding is also somewhat easier with the Sandvik steel.

It is a bit like AEB-L
Very stain resistance, suitable for keen edges and it finishes very easily due to very fine carbides.

What level of mirror polishing is achieved with the 14c28 compared to RWL the mirror finish?

I've never seen any steel that can match RWL-34 for a mirror polish. It is exceptional and I've seen some finishes that have the "pool of mercury" look.
