i have the chance to buy this knife for 100$ but i cant find a picture of it or a description of it anywhere. can anyone steer me in the direction of a picture?

the reason i can buy it but havent seen it is the owner of the local hunting/knife store knows of my knife habit and was talking to another collecter who is looking to sell some of his knives.

im told the knife comes in a sheath with a stone in a pocket on the sheath.

any help is greatly appreciated

From what I've heard, if you've got the chance to buy a Sting for $100, you need to get it NOW. It's a boot knife that was made by AG Russell. Originals are very high-dollar these days.

Here is a not very good picture of a stag version, taken from eBay.

By the way, I have never seen one that had a sharpening stone in the sheath. That doesn't mean that they don't exist, just that I haven't come across one.

thank you very much sir! :D

i tip my hat too you friend, looks like im gona be out 100$ thanks to you fine fellows

Mr. Russell had those made in Germany by Wingen.
Wingen closed in the mid-90's, and the design was discontinued.

Very high quality, and a classic boot knife design. $100 is an excellent price if it's in mint shape.

you guys are too helpfull

thanks again!
is 175 a decent price for a viper 2? i couldnt locate prices on his site.

I don't know about now, but the Viper II was around $75-100 depending on finish about 7 years ago.

That sounds about right. If you can wait four years to get one direct from RMK, you will pay less. Which model are you referring to, and is it new? Do you know what handle material is used?

the only things i know about it is that it has a 7 inch blade and is in mint condition. and that it comes with a sheath, lol
