I've owned 4 balisongs over the years.

After weeks or months of flipping, they all broke! Snapped handles, snapped pivot pins: I've gotten it all.

What's a decently priced Bali that I can be sure won't snap?

I flip them pretty hard but shouldn't a Balisong stand up to that? It's made for flipping so shouldn't it take a beating?

Liek everyone is about to tell you:

Get a Jaguar. Once you replace the pins you'll have a good, cheap knife.

yes, get a Jag for $20 ,and once the pins break fix them

I do have a Jaguar and the pins did break on me. What's the cheapest way to fix my Jaguar? (I've been too lazy to do it so far)

I'd recommend a 42 if you already have a Jag. Alot of people say "its to much money for me", or something like that. Well, no, its not. If youve been doing this for a while, know you like it, and hate crap that breaks, save those pennies. I'm a student with loans, rent and groceries, but I saved part of my paycheck untill I could afford one. (Actually, since they were so back logged, I ordered one, then saved the money, he he). It may take more effort to save for then the , I'll just buy it right now jag, but its worth it. Besides, once you fix yer jag, it'll hold you over till the 42 arrives. Just an opinion, but damn it its mine! He he hee, E

This is [insane]! I received two new Jags yesterday, but didn't manupulate one of them until just now. I figured that, since my manipulation is much more violent (xtreme) noew compared to when I got my first Jags, the new ones would break (the pins, that is) much sooner. "I'll give them a week, two tops". I was just giving one of them a welcoming twirl-routine and when the routine was over I looked at the knife and: "Hey, one pin has broken!"
I guess, one week was a bit too much to ask for form this particular knife, but the other Jag seems more stable and will probably last 6 more days of manipulation. At least, this time I have re-pinned knives as backup until my benchmades arrive.

Take care,

Per

I had a Jag for a few months, once. Broke one of the handles clean in half. I'd buy steel or Ti handles if you want a durable knife.

Get it???

Q~ What's a cheap Balisong that wont break on me?

Seriously, there are NO cheap Balis that won't eventually break.

But for about $140 you can have a Benchmade 42 that will outlast a case of any other Balisongs you can buy.
