Anyone care to share what they use to wash-up after they come in from the shop? I'm trying to find something that really works. Believe it or not, of the things I've tried, Leaver2000 and a washrag work best for me. I've tried FastOrange and that Castrol(?) junk that is suppose to dry and remove the dirt while you are using it.

Thanks -chris

Gojo works great (it's that gritty orange stuff). It takes off just about anything. I used to work in an ice cream factory, and we lubed the machinery with this stuff called petrolgel that was like vaseline but stickier. Gojo was the only stuff that would take it off your hands. It works great with grimed in dirt too, like you get from metal dust. Plus it smells pretty good. Only downside is if you washed with it more than a few times a day it might leave your hands pretty raw.

I soak in Palmolive for 30 minutes after every knifemaking session. Leaves my hands oh so soft.

;)

Hehehe, couldn't resist.

I agree Mark, I tried it once and didn't like it, plus it has the added benefit of keeping brother-in-laws away from you. If I was going to do it though, I'd go to Walmart and pick up some Fast Orange.

Lava hand cleaner wipes. Seems to use that orange smelling stuff with a little grit thrown in to boot.
