What's a good mini tanto folder under $50 ?

Cold Steel medium tanto Voyager in VG1 steel for around that or less.

+1. I have the Voyager in the regular point, thing is very strong and holds an edge well. It's not that "mini", but its not massive either. It might be helpful if you could clarify what exactly you mean by mini......
 
I have an old Colt Cobra CT50S that I have always liked. Of course, I now wish I didn't have the serrated blade, but in PE it comes really sharp, and seem to retain the edge well. It is really cheap on Bladematrix right now. You might try it.
 
The Boker Magnum button lock is fairly sturdy, and can be found for less than half of your $50 limit.

Plus, you can put a spring in it and have even more fun! :D
 
Benchmade Mini Griptilian with tanto point.:thumbup:
VERY tough little knife. Strongest lock you'll find on a knife of that size too.
Can probably locate one for around $50.

I love my Mini-Grip Tanto in 154CM steel. Love the Axis lock. Very fast and smooth opening. Solid lockup! Total concurrence with stabman!
 
kershaw , for the money you get a great cutter that can take large amounts of abuse
