I've seen a few of these KA-BAR Maserin around on the worldwideweb, but the descriptions seem to be real vague. From what I can see they must be good stuff, because they ask around $80 for them.

Maserin is one of the knife manufacturers in Maniago, Italy. Ka-Bar is only one of several US companies doing business with these Italian manufacturers. They do good work.

Why the jerk-off smiley?

Maybe it's not appropriate since I really don't know anything about the company. It just seems to that when there are little to no specs released on a product, like if found with the Maserin, it's because their is nothing to say. I would assume that there just trying to sell something of poor quality, and use a fluffy description to try and get more from there product. I'll remove it for now.

I'm not familiar with the knife itself. It may even be a low level model, especially if it's inexpensive. But Ka-Bar might have thought that more people were familiar with the Maserin name.

There have been some pretty good Italian knives around for a while now. Delta Z got their knives from Italy. I think many of them from Maserin. A.G.Russell always has a few good Italian-made knives in his catalog. And now both Ontario and Spyderco are having Jerry Hossom collaborations made by Fox.

I have a Maserin liner lock that is quite nice. I only paid 10 bux for it and is easily is worth it.

I got mine from SMKW about 8 months ago. the catalog # is MAS600N

Can't post a pic. Sorry.

Seems like a good one to me.
I ordered two more recently and am just keeping them NIB for future gifts.

I have the one at the bottom the list there(KM600T), but mine had a bead blasted looking balde.

I haven't really abused the thing. I'd say it holds an edge well.

SMWK has the one I have for $9.99. buy one and I think you'll be happy with the deal. If you are not, you'll be out very little $$
