What's a must have Spiderco?

I just recieved a new Spiderco Delica 4 yesterday, my first Spiderco, and I am impressed. Everything about the knife fits me like a glove, and unlike my BM-Mini Pika, the hole is in the perfect spot, which allows me to open the blade effortlessly. The Pika's hole is hard to manipuate with my finger, it's smaller, champered and seems to close to the grip. I also recieved a BM Mini Grip yesterday as well, (yep, I'm going off the deep end..lol) which is also an excellent knife. The Axis lock as well as thumbstud work butter smooth. As nice as the Grip is, the handle of the Spyderco is a better fit for my hand. Since I have 2 BM's the 556, and red class mini-Pika, my work EDC BTW, I'd like to get another Spiderco. Something slightly bigger, I like the Endura but it just seems to big :( for my needs as an EDC. But, after doing a search, it does seem alot of people have one as an EDC, so it can't be all that big and bulky. I'd like a Spiderco with a blade between 3-3 1/2", and no longer than 8". I've been looking at the Mini-Manix and the D'Allara, as well as the Native for my next purchase. Anyways if you could only have 1 or 2 Spiderco's which ones would they be??

Not giving up on the BM's either. I do really like the Axis lock and the thumbstud works perfectly. My next BM purchase will either be a Mini Dejavoo, or a Mini Skirmish if I can find one used...hmmm then I'll need another Spidey:confused: I don't have the shipping dust off my 2 new knives and I'm looking for more:cool: .

First off it is Spyderco. I think the Spyderco Military is a MUST have. Sheeesh, I forgot to mention that the Manix/ and or Mini Manix are MUST haves. And I agree with other folks about a little something something from the Salt series.

I can think of only one must-have Spyderco, the Military. It is the finest, modern production folder I have used.

You definitely need and Endura 4 and a Delica 4. They are in the 4th generation which says a lot about the quality and design of the knives. I have several renditions of both models.

alright, I'm goin a different direction here: RESCUE. C12frn (first year) was my first sydie, and although I broke the clip (idiot) it still is my favorite style. If you can afford it, pick up an original mariner.

Edit C14, not C12

The mini Manix and D’Allara are not the easiest Spydercos to carry, since they are fairly heavy and take up a lot of pocket space (particularly the D’Allara with its 3-D grips), the Military has one of the longest handles of any Spyderco, yet I hardly notice it clipped to my pocket because it is thin and fairly light. The Endura is even a bit less noticeable than the Military since it is lighter and a tad shorter.

My personal picks for must have Spydercos:

Calypso Jr.

Endura 4 Wave.

Atlantic or Pacific Salt (yellow handle, Spyderedged).

Close runners up:

Military.

D' Allara Drop Point.

Manix.

Caly 3.

Temperance (fixed blade).

Yes, Military.

And Police.

And Endura's are classics too. :D

since you didnt like the holes on the BMs id get the BM 710--you will love this knife.
As far is spyderco is concerned id grab a caly 3 or a military--go for the caly 3 if you want the smaller blade though

You state that you are looking for something slightly bigger than the Delica or 556, you state that the Endura might be too big for your EDC needs....... mmmmm, I would suggest the Paramilitary. Sounds about right to me. If price is an object, I would suggest you try the Endura, it is bigger than the Delica for sure, but no way is this a bulky knife. The Endura is my all time favorite EDC. If I had to choose two Spydies, give me the Endura and the Military, both in PE

I also say get the Military. That's the only Spyderco I like, I'll get one some time.

i love the spyderco salsa, the handles and thum hole/disk are great the only thing is the aus8 isnt that great of a steel

spyderco: Military or D'allara
benchmade: 520 presidio or 710 McHenry&Williams
