What's a new LB7DP worth?

Until Larry responded to a post of mine, I didn't know Schrade made a drop point version of the LB7. Were many of these made, and are they considered more collectable than the typical LB7? I bought one off ebay, and I paid a little over fifty bucks, which is more than what a normal LB7 goes for.

Yes I guess they are more collectable because fewer were made. But one has to also take into account popularity. Problem is there were well over 1 million LB7s made and if even only 50,000 of them were drop points then they still would not be that rare.

This knocked about Schrade LB7 with no tang stamp is the rarest one Ive seen ( ebay item 140069588307). They normally dont have a drop point blade like this, the sides of the blade are usually flat all the way from the edge to the back spine of the blade this one is not.
For something different its not a bad idea just to collect schrade LB7 drop points in every of the many variations that they were made in. It would certainly look awesome when you lined them all up together on display.
Kind Regards Tim

I've recently seen an LB7 drop point for sale for $59.95. Is that too much, or is it a good deal, or just OK?

TIA,

Dave

The ones I've saw at auction lately, have went for a little over $50.
I guess $60 is OK, cause if two people get in a bidding war, it might go even higher.
