What's a peeling pattern for?

Was wondering if it was for a certain purpose,

They have a cool look almost like a cartoon rendition of a double bit. I have a Sager peeler. The eye is the same diameter on both sides so it is a reversible pattern too.

i'v got a sager swamper, as far as i know its the same thing, purpose-wise. if you wanted to really take your time you could fell with it.

thanks,have a 4 pound plumb and an old 31 inch handle thinkin of trying,any of yall put a head that heavy on a handle that short?

I thought that was also the axe used to chamfer the ends of the logs when they were skidded out.
