A week ago today I mailed off a knife in a trade for a 0560 which came a few days later. I'm really loving the 0560. It's not in perfect shape and will eventually need some attention from Kai but until then I will be using this knife quite heavily. Its a big knife but compared to my 0200 its quite svelte. It took a day or two and a couple hundred flicks or flips to be able to open and close the knife without blinking, think fingers off the lock bar. My daughters or wife don't even blink when doing so anymore :). And at this moment I'm not thinking about any other knives (at least none that are currently available).

A day later I see a 0550 on evilbay with a really low price. Better yet, its a two day auction, its day two and there is only one bid with about 90 minutes remaining. Then I see the seller is in the same town as me. Its an omen, I can't pass this up and I place a bid. Of course I'm immediately out bid but thats ok. I also email the seller to see if I were to win the auction we could meet up for the hand off, which he agrees. I must have this knife. To make a long story short, I now have two Hinderer designed knives.

Would have posted sooner but life sometimes gets in the way. Unfortunately my family and I lost our dear Sampson, a near 15 year old Cairn terrior with diabetes and Cushings. He was a great dog and will be missed.

They are a sweet combo. I just sold my 560 to pay the bills, but my 550 is my main EDC so that's not going anywhere.

Sympathies on the loss of Sampson.

That's the best pair of ZT's you can have IMO. That will change soon enought with the 801CF, 454, and 770CF.

The night I picked up the 0550 I said to my wife "I'm done" and started to leave the room, then added "for now" ;). She just smiled...well maybe not smiled

I'm a kid at heart so the 0560 just grabs my attention right away. The 0550 on the other hand is inherently different and I'm glad. I never really seen the need for one since the 0350 is a similar size but I was so wrong. Also, the scale on the 0550 is a lot nicer than I thought it would have been, it never appealed to me but in the hand and up close I dig it.
