What's considered concealed in Florida?

Just wondering what is actually considered as a concealed knife in Florida? I carry a pocket knife for work(spyderco endura, pm2, Benchmade grip, and cold steel mini tuff lite are always in rotation) but as long as I have a pocket clip showing is that considered open carry?

I'm 19 so I can't get my CCW yet so that's out of the question. As per the common pocket knife law none of my knives are serrated and are what I consider common pocket knives.

Florida's knife laws are fairly vague in those respects. I would consider all the knives above to be common pocket knives. You could ask 10 different LEOs if they're all common pocket knives and get 10 different responses though.

I think that they're common so in my opinion it would not matter if they are concealed. Part of the knife is exposed yes, however, it's still not quite open carried as say a fixed blade on your belt with your shirt tucked in. 50/50 on this one.

These are just my interpretation (opinion) of Florida's laws.

Don't be stupid and draw negative attention to yourself and be respectful of others and you shouldn't have a problem.

To reiterate, these are my opinions.

Stay smart and clean for the next couple of years and get that CCW when you can, then there will be no need to worry.:D:cool:

I'll be moving to Georgia in a few months and I heard the knife laws there are much more lax. Only time I take my knife(or knives) out in public is when using it at work or in public(and when not at work it's usually my smaller sub-edc I have on me). I've been carrying knives since I can remember and have never had one taken away or even been searched(I know the whole don't bring attention to yourself thing) but I have a nose ring so I could be seen as some "punk kid" and be searched but as far as I know I would have to consent to the search anyways.

No clue about FL, but I live in GA and have never had an issue with my knives(both pocket clipped and sheaths). I live in a rural area and definitely draw attention by my looks(1" gauges, tattoos, etc..) but I've still never found it to be an issue. I'll be heading up to Destin in 2 weeks, so I was definitely curious if there is any difference down there. Like the others have said though, be respectful and don't be stupid, and you shouldn't have a problem.(that's worked for me)
