What's good for a first time Emerson knife?

Hi, I am interested in getting an Emerson knife but I have no clue to what would be good for me. I like larger knives, not gent folders (I like larger knives like the BM 730 and 710 if it helps for comparison). I use any and all knives I buy so I need a good, strong knife. This is also my first time posting here, so if I come off as a dumbass could you take it easy on me?

thanks. BTW, I've held 1 Emerson knife in my whole life, it was a Commander and it had the Wave (I didn't even know what the Wave even was when I held it).

YEH CAM!!! You guys, I think we might have another suspect on ours hands here. Cam, like I told you earlier today, if you like slightly larger knives, and you liked the feel of the commander, I would say go for it. If you like smaller knives, there are some knives can also be found with the wave (you can also get a larger Emerson if you like, the I&I sports tanto).

But if you like the size, feel, shape of the commander, I would say go for it. YOU WILL LOVE THE WAVE!!! And I believe that you will get a huge amount of support from the Usual suspects here, (especially when it comes to recommending the commander, its a favorite among us)

I agree with mmtmatrix, the Commander is awesome. If you aren't into recurves, try the SOCFK in either spear point or tanto. The I&I tanto is nasty.

Actually, I always have the Commander Trainer with me at a show like that, because when people say, "I can get my folder out..." Blah blah blah...POW. It's out and I put it on them gentle like...and ask them if they see the Brilliance of the Wave. I warn them first though...don't want them to think I'm actually going to cut them, I could be injured!

The two largest knives EKI makes are the Commander and the "Tanto". I highly recommend them both.

However, being as your a Bali guy, you GOTTA get something with the "WAVE".

Commander all the way.

LOL, that was the most replies that I have ever gotten that quickly, it feels good to be talked to, maybe I'll just stay over here.

Where would be a good place to get a Commander with black handles and partial serrations?
Looks like I've been a dumbass for not really looking into any other knives other than balisongs. I'd occasionally look at folders for my edc but not with the excitement that I have right now.

BTW, it was mostly mmtmatrix and Don Rearic that are getting me into Emerson knives. BTW, what does it take to be a Usual Suspect (besides loving and owning the kick ass movie!!).
