What's grivory?

has been using it for years. It is, in my understanding, similar to any other fiberglass reinforced nylon (FRN) product, like DuPont's "Zytel." This link should help get you started.

It's what Becker knives have used for handle material for may years. It holds up very well to all kinds of abuse.

In addition to what was already stated....while not the prettiest or most high-tech material, it IS just about ideal for a working knife....it doesn`t shrink or swell with temperature or humidity changes, it doesn`t absorb liquids, it`s impervious to most solvents, and is very shock-resistant, standing up well to hard use.

Probably the only thing better for scale material is "Micarta"! I mean life long, rough, tough, material, not someones personal bias. HTH.:)

It's a tradename (like Lexan or Zytel) for a family of polyamides(nylons) which may or may not be reinforced with glass. DePont's Zytels are competitive materials

Thanks for the replies guys! Good to see it's something I'm familiar with. Can't wait to get my hands on this one.

Grivory comes in different flavors , the GV6H is 60% glass ,
the GV4H with 40% , GV2H got 20% .
